The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Stieg Larsson

Not really getting this book’s popularity. Let me summarize the plot: boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, some long-overdue indication that something interesting may have happened 40 years ago, DANGER!, boring, boring, boring. Obvious like an episode of “Law & Order: SVU,” but about 12 times as long and with a lot more product placement. And I can’t help thinking if you write a story such that the reader doesn’t care whether the main characters live or die, you better kill some of them off! Maybe the next two are better, but I won’t bother to find out, because “better than mind-numbingly dull” is not a good enough recommendation for me.
